The developers of ExtremeCopy claim this program can help you optimize copying speed, especially when you are copying very large files.
Using this application instead of the built-in Windows utility allows you to benefit from such options as temporarily pausing and resuming jobs or resolving copy conflicts. When tested and compared with the system’s built-in tool, the program allowed me to copy a bunch of files and folders at a greater speed. In general, it is a fine robust application. As there are many other similar applications available and most of them can be tried for free, I suggest you test some of them and make your own decision.
Pros
- It is easy to use
- It increases copying speed
- It allows using filters and rules
- It integrates with the system
Cons
- The interface is not attractive

Poor UI, dont even let you know which are files it is about to copy and copying... very simple and shrinked interface.... disappointed with it.... no clue of when it will finish the newly added files... no options for adding to the existing file transfer list as the already not showing the current file transfer list....
TeraCopy is a brand that I used previously when Windows OS were really slow. But now that there have been several upgrades I don't think it's wise to use it. ExtremeCopy is also an alternative to TeraCopy, but the software that really stands out from a long-term experience is GS RichCopy 360. I highly recommend it!
